October 2026 Events In Boulder, Colorado
Football is back, the leaves are changing, harvests are heavy, and pumpkin spice lattes are all the rage. That means October is here, and Boulder is bursting with things to do. If you’re looking for some autumn awesomeness, consider the following: Firefly Handmade Market The Firefly Handmade Market takes place several times a year, with each market providing unique arts, crafts, and goods. The fall market returns to Pearl Street Mall this season, offering a lineup of artists, designers, bakers, and makers. It’s open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on October 10th and 11th and is free to attend. Halloween Drive-In Movie Stop by Boulder Reservoir (one of our city’s favorite “haunts”) on October 16th for a Halloween drive-in movie event . Each ticket is good for one car and as many people as you can legally fit into your vehicle. You may bring your own food and nonalcoholic drinks, or purchase food from Lakeside Cafe; dogs are also allowed as long as they stay in the car or are leashed outside your vehicle. Purchase tickets online or at one of Boulder’s recreation centers. Word Singing Day A one, two, a one, two, three, four. . . World Singing Day takes place on October 17th, from 2-3:30 pm, on the 1300 block of Pearl Street Mall. Founded by Colorado musician Scott Johnson to bring people together through the power of song, it’s a community sing-along open to all ages, backgrounds, and talent levels. Whether you’re a trained professional or only sing in the car, you’ll fit right in. There’s no rehearsal or planning; simply show up to take part. Avery Fall 5K The Avery Fall 5K takes place on October 18th and starts and ends at the Avery taproom. Waves begin at 10 and 10:30am, and runners, joggers, walkers, and even dawdlers are all encouraged to participate. Celebrate your completed course with a free Avery beer at the finish line! The Munchkin Masquerade The Munchkin Masquerade is an annual downtown event that celebrates Boulder’s littlest boos and ghouls. Each year on Halloween afternoon, dragons, superheroes, clowns, wizards, dinosaurs, ninjas, mermaids, astronauts, firefighters, and more take to Pearl Street with one common goal: candy! This event is recommended for children 12 and under (or adults who can blend in with a really good costume!).
