Details About The 2023 Boulderthon

The Boulderthon 2023 is not one race, but a series of races designed for various stamina levels and abilities. It takes place on October 8, but space is limited, so register today.

While this event isn’t as well known as the BolderBoulder, the Boulderthon is solidifying its own legacy. Since its inception three years ago, this race has grown immensely in popularity and is now the largest fall running event in the entire state.

With the Flatirons in the background, the route offers stunning views and a lively atmosphere while drawing people from all US states and multiple countries. It was named one of the top 5 best marathons in the US by Active Magazine and the 13th “Most Scenic Half Marathons in the US” by

This year, the race will commence and culminate in downtown Boulder,  a change that gives local businesses a chance to sit front and center to thousands of racers. It also allows the race to accommodate more runners, increasing its cap from the previously anticipated 5,000 runners to 8,000 runners.

Reasons to Race

If you’re a serious runner, signing up for the Boulderthon might be a given. But you don’t have to have split shins or bruise toenails to enjoy this event. The varying lengths allow folks of different physical conditions to participate, and the friendly, small-town atmosphere offers the perfect opportunity to meet new people and experience a sense of community while doing something positive for your emotional and physical health.

Of course, the post-race parties certainly don’t hurt. ;)
